Memories. . .

I have a fond memory of this old bridge near the house. Yes, old, one-lane, wooden, dilapidated pieces of dangerous crap like this still exist in our state.

And adding insult to injury, a nearby barricade with a striking reminder.

Life can be merciless.

So, I see you've been down by my house. Wish you had stopped by. We could have had a couple of "Daddy Pops". Traffic by the skinnin' rack sure has been slow since they closed that bridge.

Brain, I don't think you would have appreciated a 6 a.m. wake up call on a Saturday morning. I was trying to shortcut across the river and wasn't sure if they had done anything with the bridge yet. I can't remember if the 'bridge out' signs on our side are still up. They've probably been there so long it's just become a part of the unnoticeable scenery.

I'll drop in soon to come see you and V and the girls. Hope all is well!
