Cathouse. . .

Since the untimely departures of Boo Boo and Che Boludo, I have been contemplating getting a new kitty. I did not expect to just have one move himself right on in however.

This nameless cat is solid black with beautiful green eyes. He's been around for about two weeks now and still won't let me touch him, but he's become more comfortable and at least follows me around like Bobcat does. Although he maintains his distance. Now I have to come up with a good name.

Speaking of Bobcat, her take on the situation is: not impressed.

It sounds like your new cat is a feral. They're real hard to get next to when they're wild. You might get to feed him but not much more. If he's young he might come around to being next to people. You can never tell with a cat. They're all so damn unique.

The black kitty looks like the male we had to put down last year. We named him Eyeball since that was all you could see on him. Big yellow eyes standing out against his all-black fur.

One more thing Toast. I just noticed in your pics that your Marmalade Tabby looks like she has a half-tail. Am I right?

Eyeball! I love it!

This cat is most definitely feral, but he's slowly losing his fear of people. He'll plop down within three feet of me now and isn't so inclined to dash off into the woods because of some sudden movement. I suspect it's just a matter of time until he'll come up to me.

And yes, Bobcat only has a nub of a tail. She also just showed up at the house one day and it didn't take her long before she became a certified lap cat. I am almost convinced that she belonged to someone before her arrival, but you just never know.
