Toast, I've posted on my blog dozens of times about the various tests the city, federal, and private companies use when they take job apps or other type of info. The tests ARE discriminating! They discriminate against the unqualified, inexperienced, incompetent, and just plain stupid. That's what they are designed to do and that's fucking okay with me.
I don't want some nitwit who can't speak proper English teaching my kids. I don't want some scrawny dyke who can't lift one-hundred pounds working as a firefighter just so some asshole in office can satisfy their own idea of what's FAIR. Lives are and can be at stake in such a job. Fuck the social engineering!
Now the interesting thing is this - fairness can be a double edged sword and swing both ways. From what I read in your link, Perez and his entire career is based on PC bullshit and his own brand of discrimination. Toss in the fact he's a liar and willingly breaks our Nation's laws he is not only unfit for the position as Labor Secretary, he's a felon!
