"Americans used to say where there's a will, there's a way. Nowadays, it's where there's a pill, there's a way out." - - Burnt Toast

As most of you might know. . .

The band Tool doesn't take a backseat to anyone in my pathetic narrow-minded world except when it comes to Rush. I've been a Rush fan since the ripe old age of eight when I found a flyer for Columbia House in the Sunday paper circa 1978.

Back in those days the flyer had a little slit cut out where you inserted a penny for your "free" albums. This of course was before the advent of CD's and not long after cassettes came on the scene to replace 8-tracks. And it just so happened that we had recently purchased a very fine quality hi-fi stereo courtesy of Radio Shack, that had a record player, 8-track capability AND a cassette player. It was off the charts lemme tell you.

So, my first shipment of cassettes included Queen's album Jazz with "Another One Bites the Dust" and Rush's "2112." Needless to say, after the first few notes of the synthesiser and I was hooked. Forever indebted to Rush for helping forge my musical tastes to this day. And for all of us hardcore Rush fans who think they know every tidbit of info about them, try reading this.
