No apology necessary. . .
The Baltimore Sun reports that Senator and Presidential Rockstar Barack Obama's family were slave owners. Actually the "forbearers" of his mother's side of the family were the owners.
This raises some rather interesting philosophical questions.
Does Obama now have to apologize for owning slaves by proxy?
Can he, at the same time, apologize for and decry the hideousness of slavery and it's perceived impact on toady's American society?
Will he have credibility as a black man to take the common line against slavery?
Will white people believe him if he does apologize because he is perceived to be a "black" man?
If and when salve reparations are paid, will he pay himself?
Does the "white guilt" about slavery stop at his mother?
Will he only be half right no matter what he says?
Will Strom Thrumond continue to father children even though he's dead?
Where is Hoffa buried?
Are UFO's real?
Is a lozenge the same thing as a rhombus?
The list is endless.
