A mystery unknown to man.
I'm thinking fried rice with chicken?
I need a knuckle of ginger, some soy, a bit of green onion, garlic and crushed red pepper. Oh, it would be nice to find some fresh Thai basil for a nice zippy flavor. Or some daikon sprouts for a fresh earthy and crunchy garnish. A dash of sesame oil would be pleasing too.
Nah. . .for another day.
I'll just stick to the THREE G's OF CHINESE COOKING:
Garlic
Ginger
Green Onion
My mouth is watering already. Off to the store!

Well, that sweaty, heavy-breathing blowhard can take his chaud froid globulars and stick them in his forcemeat for all I care.
You hear me Billy??
And by the way, how do you remember all that random stuff?

It probably is Thai basil. Sounds like it is from your description.
