"Americans used to say where there's a will, there's a way. Nowadays, it's where there's a pill, there's a way out." - - Burnt Toast

Bang Bang, UR DED!

I was over at Breda's place this morning reading a post about Eva Mendes' ignorance and it reminded me of something my father once told me many years ago while having one or twenty too many Budweisers and during my lamentations of an emotional breakup with a lousy girlfriend.

In his "wisdom" he belched, "Son, if it weren't for that mysterious little triangle between their legs, there'd be a bounty on their heads."

Thanks Dad.

Luckily, I didn't grow up believing that narrow-minded jibber-jabber and I turned out to be a rather well-deformed and unlikeable man despite my father's beer-soaked, philisophical leanings. But Breda's post brought back a more recent memory too, from this past Sunday on NPR as some dimwit pays a visit to the rifle range of the National Rifle Association.

The choice quote, ". . .it's a black, scary looking thing."

Oh those evil guns. Almost as evil as those mysterious triangles.
