Exodus. . .

Here is a view of I-55 about 20 miles south of Jackson this morning around 11 a.m. The contra-flow for the interstate ends about 40 miles south of this point at Brookhaven and as you can see, the traffic is two-way.

In the photo above, some people have gotten smart and are using the east and west frontage roads to move north where traffic is virtually unimpeded. The frontage roads parallel I-55 from Terry to south Jackson for nearly 20 miles.

Another view from Dastardly Dad's perspective of the traffic creeping north at the Terry exit. Earlier it looked as if traffic was moving rather briskly, yet by mid-day it seemed to be slowing somewhat. From this point it is 170 miles due south to New Orleans.

Here is a picture of the town crazy man. He was traveling east. Go figure.
