Weather Update. . .

The weather has held here in Egypt Hill. The winds rose last night making creepy howling noises around the house, but the rain has held, although the first outer bands should be arriving inthe next couple of hours.

The news out of New Orleans is reporting that a tornado was sighted around Highway 49 in Gulfport, which is just a mile or two west of my office there. Now they are saying two reported tornadoes in Gulfport. I hope everything is ok down there. The sustained winds in Gulfport are around 40-plus miles per hour and surely the conditions will deteriorate.

The news is reporting the the winds are increasing in New Orleans and that localized damage is happening to billboards and signs.

Well, I guess we'll just continue to hunker down. One helluva of way to spend a holiday, huh?
