Entitlement 101. . .

This is the end of the street where my office is. Our street intersects one of the busiest thoroughfares in Jackson and it's a real pain in the ass to try to make a left or right turn onto the cross-secting street.

Around lunch, it's made even more difficult, not to mention dangerous, when people park on either side of the road, so that they may patronize the local chicken joint.

Now, there are no "no parking" signs at the end of the street, so I must suggest that these parkings, however inconvenient and troublesome they are, are not illegal. But of course, there people who claim certain entitlements within particular circles of Jackson's societal fabric, especially the ubiquitous civilian employee.

Now that Barack Obama is about to be elected, I think we will begin to see more of this "entitlement" from some members of our union. Because, why play by the rules to achieve a success or goal, when it's much easier to change the rules at everyone else's expense?

Just sayin'. . .
