Withering On The Vine. . .

Last night's episode of How The Obama Uh's featured the Prez-dent holding a news conference. Yep, can't you feel the excitement?

He said some important stuff too. Like, "uh uh" "um" and "er" and other mono-syllabic emanations that would make a houseplant seem brilliant in comparison. I think he even let out one of those quick but long "ah ah ah ah ah's" that appear when he REALLY doesn't know what the hell he's talking about. But, isn't that always?

My curiosity piqued when he started calling reporter's names from a pre-determined list. I guess the whole random raising of hands and choosing someone is all too, well, random. With that token of mistrust in mind, I just knew that somehow, someway, some dope of lesser media would be called upon to unleash a completely absurd question.

Here is one example. An outright lie perpetrated by third-rate, conspiratorial news outlets with heavy left-wing agendas.

And the other was an odd question about race during the middle of this economics debate:

Ann Compton? Hey, Ann. You sound surprised.

Question: I am surprised. Could I ask you about race?

Obama: You may.

Question: Yours is a rather historic presidency. And I'm just wondering whether, in any of the policy debates that you've had within the White House, the issue of race has come up or whether it has in the way you feel you've been perceived by other leaders or by the American people? Or has the last 64 days before a relatively colorblind time?

Obama: I think that the last 64 days has been dominated by me trying to figure out how we're going to fix the economy, and that affects black, brown and white.

And, you know, obviously, at the inauguration, I think that there was justifiable pride on the part of the country that we had taken a step to move us beyond some of the searing legacies of racial discrimination in this country, but that lasted about a day.

And -- and, you know, right now, the American people are judging me exactly the way I should be judged. And that is: Are we taking the steps to improve liquidity in the financial markets, create jobs, get businesses to re-open, keep America safe? And that's what I've been spending my time thinking about.

Figures. No matter how far we "move ahead" we are still a bunch of racists.

Oh yeah Obama, we're judging you alright. What we are witnessing daily are belt-high, middle-in fastballs thrown right in our wheelhouse. Bye bye Birdie! Can you blame us? I know it's painful to see because it's you, but YOU are to blame. You've surrounded yourself, not just now, but through your entire life, with people who are openly anti-American, anti-establishment, anti-democracy, anti-corporation, not to mention anti-life. Criminals, killers, liars and cheats! How are we supposed to react to that Mr. Prez-dent? With a gleeful smile and an ill-tuned ear?

Sorry, but unlike you and your angry wife, I love my country too much. Always have. And it's us you'll have to deal with, the law-abiding, color-blind and good people of our nation. We who pay our taxes and care for our families and provide for the helpless. We are this nation, but you, the Washington elite, the powerbrokers, lobbyists and sycophants of all stripes who slither along the filthy gutter of politics are NOT!
