Only Available In Black. . .
Yesterday, I was traveling into downtown Jackson, when a couple of t-shirts at a local screen printing operation caught my eye.
At first, I didn't think much of it, this shop in known locally for providing quality fraternity, sorority and politically-oriented t-shirts to students of the historically black Jackson State University.
Nothing I saw bothered me until I saw the following shirt.
Haven't I seen this image somewhere before? Seems that I have and I wonder who is the rightful owner of the image. Is this an officially sanctioned and licensed US Weekly campaign t-shirt or is the copyright of the photo owned by the Obama campaign? Something tells me the answer is no.
Photographic copyright and commercial usage is a pretty straightforward law and I have my suspicions about the legality of reprinting this image for commercial gain, especially since the "US Weekly" title has been removed, not to mention the photo of Angelina Jolie and the subheadline of intimating a discussion of sex while pregnant. Enquiring minds want to. . .
. . .I don't know. Maybe it's nothing. Anyway, considering the fact that saying ANYTHING anti-Obama would deem me as a racist, maybe I should just shut the hell up and go on about my business of pre-filling out checks to the federal government to help Obama pay for 1 trillion dollars in extra spending for the deserving, subjugated milksops of his cult of personality.
