Sawmi Says. . .

There will be a coldness in your future. A green coldness, of crisp bitterness and it will be plentiful. This green, bitter coldness will precede a low, lasting pain that shall pass by the time shadows recede from the tall wood. You will think this apparition is bad, but in fact, it is quite good. And alas, you will partake, among many and those of whom value a friend. Cast yourself far and wide, yay of the heart does the idea flow so naturally, like a babbling brook of early winter morn, cold, dark and unforgiving. . .

Ah, fuck it. I'll be drinking some Heineken in H-town later with my friends. Just though you'd like to know!

Ferrell Fest 2009. . .

Well folks, believe it or not, it's on again. Last year's Ferrell Fest was a rousing success with fun, food, games, great music by the Scooter Brown Band and of course, beer. Lots and lots of beer.

What was originally conceived as an annual event has now transmogrified itself into a bi-annual gathering of fine people from the Houston area. As always, Ferrell Fest is hosted by Fabrice Differdange and most certainly Nils will be there, as well as Magnulf Grislubsen.

This year's musical act will be the two man band known as Southbound. They performed recently at Nauti Girl's birthday jamboree and let me tell you something folks, they rocked. And rolled. And rocked a little more. Then rolled. And rocked once more. I think they played more than 5 or 6 hours and we never heard the same song twice unless it was by request of Marslenjurg, who wanted to hear the 12 minute live version of Lynyrd Skynyrd's Freebird over and over and over again. Long story short, they put on a great show.

Here is this year's invitation/banner of random mind jibber, courtesy of yours truly:

So, if you find yourself in the Magnolia area of Houston, drop on by for some fun and stay for a while or until you hear Nils and Fabrice say, "watch this shit!"

Again I Do The Math. . .

Fabrice is going to have 350 pounds of crawfish (cooked by Nils and I), 6 kegs of beer, live music, including me (possibly) after the 20th beer, 250+ people in a fine upper crust gated community in northern Houston. Only one thing missing: the cops.

I won't be posting again till I have my feet on the ground in Houston and I'll do my best to highlight some of the. . .well, highlights.

Until then. . .here is the 47th draft of the still unfinished party banner:

Got Bail???

Maybe you remember a few months ago when I introduced you to a friend of Nils named Fabrice Differdange.

I haven't seen Fabrice since I was first introduced to him when he entertained all of us with his catalogue of gay animal husbandry diddies. But this weekend I will see him again as he is hosting the "First Annual Ferrel Fest" at his home in a quiet and well-to-do gated community.

I have been informed that there will be live music, adult beverages, foodstuffs, women, men, animals, power tools and more than likely, police.

I, for one, am looking forward to the potential disaster that this may become. It's not that I'm a "pooh-pooh Sally" and don't want to have a good time, it's that I'm a realist. I know Nils and I know Fabrice. SOMETHING will happen.

To celebrate what I am calling "The First Annual Go To Jail Fest" I created the flyer below for the party.

Hey, you're invited too!

Meet Fabrice Differdange. . .

Fabrice is from Luxembourg, a friend of Nils, and his hobbies include motorbiking, metallurgical arts, and scatological word associations. His friends describe him as a man of nature, well-known worldwide for his graphic and often verbal displays of public affection and his witty repertoire of guitar "sing-a-longs" about gay animal husbandry.
