Pay Up Sucka!

I'm sure that somewhere this question has already been asked, but just in case the entire world is asleep at the wheel, allow me. . .

The facts:

GM is going broke.

Big Money G (Obama's pet name for the federal government) coughed up a dozen billion or so to keep them afloat while they worked out a new economic plan for recovery of the company.

Not satisfied with the the economic plan, Big Daddy O pushes out the CEO and most of the board, then quietly offers that a "surgical" bankruptcy might be in the offing even after flushing billions down a craphole of union skulduggery and high treason.

This, after some months ago saying that bankruptcy was not an option for GM. (See the last line of the article.)

Now, GM in all of it's intelligent glory is offering to make your car note for you!!

Uh, wut?

Yes, that's my question.

From Drudge:

"Because starting today, the United States government will stand behind your warrantee."

Well, thank God!!

I'll sleep better at night knowing that.

Are we waking up yet people? Get the snot out of your eyes and pay attention! The United States government last night, in effect, fired a private citizen from his job! Who is next? You? Me? The head of AIG who is working for a self-imposed dollar a year salary? Who Congress tried to pin blame on for shenanigans THEY, Congress, started and this guy came in after the fact to clean up?

Prepare for the worst America. This is only the beginning of "Change".

Thursday's Rumination. . .

Ok, so we're gonna spend all this money, right?

And the government is going to print more money, right?

And they will secure said dollars by selling more bonds, right?

And the Chinese and others, who hold trillions of dollars of our debt already will snap them up, right?

At what point does our dollar become weaker and potentially worthless by the aforementioned debt and unprecedented spending which will flood the market with fresh dollars?

And in the meantime, with all this new spending, Prez-dent Obama is going to cut the deficit in half by spending more than ever before and selling more debentures than ever before without cutting any governmental programs in the process?

How is all of the above possible? And frankly, why isn't Washington burning right now?

Just asking. Sometimes I ain't too smartz.

UnFREAKINGbelievable. . .

America, just put the gun to your head and pull the trigger because it's over.

The American Dream is dead, rotting away like bloated, worm infested road kill on a broiling strip of asphalt; easy to ignore until you smell the stink.

And STINK it does.

Welcome to Amerika, New and Improved, buy two constitutional rights, get fourteen free! Who cares if you don't have a job or can't pay a bill, there is a government program for you! Be free, be free, cast off the chains of responsibility. Buck the system, so stacked against you, and set those evil corporations/banks/white people straight!

To borrow a line from a long forgotten cartoon, "Heavens to Murgatroyd!

I need a drink.

And a valium.

And a bailout.

Help me.

Keeping With Today's Theme. . .

. . .that the pen is mightier than the sword, follow the link through this neat and thoughtful blog to a cutting opinion article by sharp-guy Mark Steyn on Obama's felonious highway robbery stimulus bill.

This is the kind of writing that makes me step back, point and say weakly, "yeah, what he said!"

Thicker Than Thieves. . .

More stimulus you can believe in.

I didn't realize the Bill of Rights protected "access to communication" too. Maybe I should brush up on the language of the document. I am constantly amazed at what qualifies as a right within the weak mind of liberal Democrats, but then again, I realize they are under the heavy influence of Hope and Change.

Here are a couple of highs and lows from the "hog fat jowl head cheese" bill:

$1,500,000 for helping hookers get off the streets and away from prostitution in Dayton, Ohio. Job creation? Zero. On the other hand, if there is one thing a hooker knows, it's stimulation.

And for our friends in Puerto Rico, $17,500,000,000 for "New Energy Efficient Industrial Zones." Am I the only one scratching my head and thinking this is exactly what the poor suffering, out-of-work Americans of Puerto Rico need? Oh wait, they're not quite Americans and are proudly Puerto Rican, but yet, pay some taxes, but not all taxes, although take advantage of the protections of our government and military, but also have their own democratically elected government? Well then WTF? Let's give them seventeen BILLION dollars.

Well, from all that pork fat, I think we need a special palette cleansing by Sheriff Buford T. Justice of Texas.

How To Spell Class. . .

O-B-A-M-A.

So, does this mean we can talk about Michelle Obama's rear-endus too?

And while the President glazes over his latent male instinctual desires for a big, blond, white woman, he is currently holding behind the scenes talks with two of America's arch foes, Iran and Syria. Pay attention people, this is the real world. Money, power and bombs. Forget all the red herrings and calculated interference concerning green projects, Democrat tax cover-ups and corporate pay and jets. Add to all of this our real problem of the fact that the most liberal senator IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND currently wields the most powerful weapon on the planet. The pen.

The thing about government is, once you give it money to spend, it's hard to take that money away. Since when has our government ever downsized itself, with the exception of strategic cuts in military budgets by Democratic presidents?

Our highly touted economic salvation via the stimulus bill is nothing more than a thinly cloaked pork project fiesta of useless government waste at our expense. Thanks Democrats! Anyone who thinks this spending is going to impact the job market in the long term is seriously under the influence of media misdirection and Hopenchangeitis.

But I understand that there is no helping the sadly misinformed. No matter how bright the light of truth shines into the empty eyes of our precious sheeple aka "the overwhelming majority of voters". . .somewhere, someone, is thinking to themselves, "Hey, $99,600 for doorbells in Laurel, Mississippi is just what our economy needs!"

Boy, that's some ding-dongs you can believe in! Or some bark bark, if you're a dog.

The Blame Game. . .Part I

Just a couple of items to ponder while our slapdick politicians boo hoo, holler, spit and sputtle at one another for who is to blame for the economic mess our country is in at the moment. While there is no one person nor entity to blame, there are certainly some who are more to blame than others.

Let's start with these Democrats, who did all they could to block Republican efforts to further regulate Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac back in 2004.

And let's look the this 1993 article in which Robert Stowe England properly singles out the Clinton administration's strong-arm efforts to force banks and lenders into writing mortgages to unworthy borrowers. All in the name of racial justice.

See the pattern. . .

Stay tuned for more.
