I've been wondering when the resistance movement in Iran was going to transition from relatively peaceful protesting (peaceful on their part anyway until regime thugs and police arrive) to violence and retaliation against the oppressive Islamic (redundant?) regime. In reality, I suppose this is a natural progression for peaceful activists who are being slain in the streets each day and let me be one of the first to say that it's about time.
The only thing the leaders of Iran will respond to is violence. Their holy book, of which I hold in no high regard, is filled with justifications of violence against the weak and powerless. Karma is a bitch, ain't it Mahmoud? Unfortunately, more lives will be lost on the good side of this fight, especially since our own weakly-constituted leader is unwilling to stick his neck out for anyone but himself. . .and Harry Reid. And a racist law professor.
The speculation, or more realistically, the propaganda from Iran is that this explosion has the markings of an Israeli Massod attack, and if so, then I hope that this escalation in tension stokes the final fire between Israel, the United States and Iran. Not to mention the countless squirrely underground and not-so-underground proxy armies Iran has in the Middle East. Maybe the time has come to settle the score once and for all with all of these lunatic and ass-backward, 5th century, hell holes.
Judgement day is coming and it will be harsh.

$900 million dollars to rebuild Gaza, and why?
We've been propping up the Palestinian Authority for years and to what gain? Lets see, rockets and mortars still get lobbed into Israel, creepy pseudo-Mickey Mice teach children Islamic supremacy and hate on the television, women are indoctrinated into strapping on bombs and 'sploding, particlularly around Israelis. Allah likes a good 'sploded Jew you know.
Oh, and the last time there was a big fat cash (and arms) infusion to the weak PA, Hamas ran roughshod all over Fatah, slaughtering their security forces like sheep (violent images here) and anyone else who got in their way. Ever notice those bright, shiny M-16's that Hamas totes around? Thanks America.
I think it's time for a crucial re-evaluation of the socio-economic needs in Gaza. Personally, I say starve them out. Let them live in the giant piles of rubble Israel created during the offensive against Hamas. The Palestinian Authority is far too weak to maintain any sort of control over Hamas and much less the people of Gaza. These people breed, perpetuate and encourage hate, violence and Islamic domination. We, the free people of the 21st century, shun those ideals and should no longer help facilitate what is an ever worsening and clearly, viral social situation.
I think George Bush termed it correctly as "evil." The bastardized version of Islam that these monsters live and breath, day in and day out, is simply evil. And no amount of money will ever fix that problem.
Not even president yet and he's flat on his face. Get used to it pal.

Since the collapse of the oil markets and the end of the political circus which is our presidential election, it has been quiet as a cricket fart in media and political circles concerning our need to develop our own natural resources, mainly oil.
With the price of oil nearing a decade old low price, the incentive to "drill here, drill now" has subsided. We're all fat and happy again and breathing huge sighs of relief everytime we fill our vehicles and it costs less than a hunge. Back to sleep at the wheel folks.
Yesterday's news that Israel has invaded the Gaza Strip, and rightfully so, brings the sobering news out of Iran of just how dependent we are on imported oil. I am sick of having to rely on the declared enemies of the United States for our energy needs and hearing some low-budget "commander" shoot his mouth off about trying to choke us off economically.

A ground operation may also have been part of the foray, according to the network. Neither Jerusalem nor Damascus have confirmed the report. But Damascus has denied the presence of any Israeli ground forces on its territory.
CNN said the operation involved ground forces and that the aerial strike left "a great hole in the desert." Although it did not name a specific source, the network cited "US government officials." The jets have been identified by the Turkish authorities as IAF F15Is, Israel's long-range bomber, after fuel tanks were found in Turkish territory.
The CNN report said the IAF's targets were likely weaponry delivered to Syria that was possibly intended for use by Hizbullah.
So, some do-gooder American college student tried to stop a Israeli Army Caterpillar D9 bulldozer from demolishing Palestinian homes by stepping in front of it.
The result is quite apparent.
In a simple feat of physics, the bulldozer won and now her parents are suing Caterpillar for damages because of human rights violations, war crimes, yadda yadda. The usual garbage leveled on Israel daily is now being used to attack Caterpillar.

Notice the size of the man in relation to the machine. In confrontations of "Man vs. Machine" the machine WILL ALWAYS WIN. It's common sense that a machine weighing 62 tons with 400+ horsepower is dangerous. . .DON'T GET IN FRONT OF IT UNLESS YOU WANT TO DIE!
I feel sorry for Rachel Corrie's parents, grief is a terrible thing, but suing Caterpillar is tantamount to blaming them, the parents, for not teaching their daughter common sense.
First of all, you are in an area of the world drowning in a state of constant deadly violence. To add to you own danger by stepping in front of a moving 62 ton machine is just idiotic.
These people must have never seen the movie Maximum Overdrive.
